Methods Persistent interventions were carried out on the management of AUD by us- ing the PDCA cycle. Then evaluation of the intervention effect, summarization of experiences and continuous improve- ment were made to enhance the level of rational use of drug. Results After implementation of PDCA cycle, the intensi- ty of use of antimicrobial agents decreased gradually form 47.58 DDD in the first quarter of 2014 to 41.07 DDD in the second quarter and 38.54 DDD in the third quarter. The intensity of use of antimicrobial agents met the demand of man- agement in the third quarter. Conclusion The effect of PDCA cycle in the management of AUD is remarkable, and the method should be used widely in the management of antimicrobial agents in order to promote rational drug use. 【Keywords】
