• Lean is a process management initiative focused on eliminating waste
with the customer as the focal point through continual improvement. In
general, by reducing waste, lean reduces cost, cycle time and
customer dissatisfaction.
• Waste - also known as Japanese term “muda”- is any resourcing
consuming activity that creates no customer value.
