Abstract:The fleetlike exhibition h lls of Gu ngdong Science Center re multi storey longsp n structures with 45m column sp cing in
both horizont l directions, nd these h lls cont in n overh ng sp n of 45m. Considering requirements of rchitectur l sh pe, structures of
st irc se, elev tor nd equipment rooms re designed s six l tticed megsteel columns, longitudin l crossl yer trusses re constructed
long the two sides of the structure between the second nd third floor, the crossl yer trusses ch nged the twow y sp n floor structure to
onew y sp n floor structure, the e chstorey l rge sp ce nd long c ntilever re chieved, nd low cost is re lized. L tticed meg steel
columns nd trusses composed the l tticed megfr me structure to effectively resist l ter l forces. The structur l scheme selection,
l yout, joint design nd structur l n lysis of this megstructure re presented.
