School of Electrical Engineering, Shandong U niversit , Jinan 250061, China) Abstract: In order to make t he best use of fault informat ion and to improve accurac of selecting the fault line, the criterion b s nthesizing man kinds of criteria based on different principles respect ivel is proposed. T he new crite rion integrat es the criterion based on the stead state component, the criterion based on t he transient component and the one based on the additional diagnosis signal. The three kinds of criteria are int egrat ed based on t he rough set the or on the validit , w hich takes the feeders on the busbar as universe, takes the selection criteria as condit ion at trib utes and takes t he discrete fault characteristic quantit as att ribute value. And the fault information is formed. B reducing t he universe, the decision table is formed b decision rules, and the faulted feeder is found from the deci sion att ribute of the decision t able.
