Teaching aims 1) Knowledge aims: Students can read and use the words “father, man, that ,dad” and sentence pattern “Who is that man ?/ He is my father.” 2) Ability aims: Students can learn to introduce others and their’ listening and speaking abilities can be greatly improved. 3) Emotional aims: Students can learn to communicate and cooperate with others and be interested in English leaning. II Teaching key points Words: father, man ,that, dad Target language: the sentence pattern“Who is that man ?/ He is my father.” III Teaching difficult points How to apply the new knowledge into practice correctly. IV Teaching aids A family photo, some pictures, V Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming-up and lead in 1. Invite some students to sing a song together 2. Show some pictures of famous stars and ask students to identify them. Then show the family photo to lead in the topic Step 2 Presentation and practice 1 Word learning 1)Use the photo of family to teach the new words “father, dad, that, man”. For example, ask to look at the photo and teacher points the child and says “This is me” and invite them to guess who is the man.
