I am very glad to introduce the exhibition here for you. Xibaipo is located in the middle of Pingshan County, Hebei Province. During the period of Chinese Liberation War, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Chinese Peoples Liberation Army set up their headquarters in this village. The command post set up in Xibaipo was the last one in rural area before the Partys Central Committee entered Beijing and liberated the whole country. The Xibaipo Exhibition Hall was first built in October, 1976. It is divided into three levels of courtyards and covers a total area of 6,200 sq m with 12 exhibition halls (including the prelude hall). As is seen, on both sides of the hall is the bas-relief group consisting of such commemorative places as the site of Shanghai First Congress of the Communist Party of China , Jinggangshan, Zunyi and Yan’an; in the middle is the big group relief of 77 central committee members and alternate central committee members of the seventh central committee of the Communist Party of China with the majestic and continuous Taihang Mountains and the courtyard of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in Xibaipo as the background. This vividly shows the uncommon struggle course of the Communist Party of China since its foundation and also reflects the spirit of unity and the high spirit of Chinese people under the leadership of the Communist Party of China during Xibaipo period.
