GOV’T CODE ANN. § 508.183 (West 1997) PURPOSE: To provide parole officers and releasees with two (2) methods to access the most currently available Educational Achievement (EA) scores, IQ scores, education level attained in the ID, verified and non-verified education level attained outside the ID, GED attainment, and vocational training participation. PROCEDURE: I. EDIC COMPUTER SCREEN/WINDHAM SCHOOL DISTRICT INMATE INFORMATION SCREEN. The following words, acronyms, and abbreviations appear on the Windham School District Inmate Information screen, which can be assessed through the TDCJ-ID database on a TDCJ-PD computer terminal. A. OUTSIDE TDCJ-ID SEC . E D. C LAIM = Secondary education level claimed by the inmate and whether a degree was claimed; the secondary education verified and whether a degree was verified. COL . E D. C LAIM = College education level claimed and whether a college degree is claimed; the college education level verified and whether a degree was verified. B. INSIDE TDCJ-ID BEGINNING EA S CORE = The initial Education Achievement (EA) score obtained from Windham School District testing with a standardized test used to determine the inmate’s grade level of educational skills.
