OpenClinica 3.0 and Oracle on Windows Files (Please follow these instructions instead of Chapters 7 and 8 of the install.doc if you want to use Oracle instead of PostgreSQL.) Open a command window (MSDOS Prompt) and change to the directory where OpenClinica Oracle database files are located. Figure  SEQ Figure \* ARABIC 24 (please note, figures are approximate) Run sqlplus from the same directory as follows. When prompted for password, enter the SYS password. Figure  SEQ Figure \* ARABIC 25 (please note, figures are approximate) Tablespaces At the SQL prompt, execute the script oracle_setup_db.sql. The script prompts for user options before creating necessary objects. 1. Tablespace - In Oracle, ‘tablespace’ is a logical collection of different data files. 2. Expected Size - Enter the size of data expected to store. If unknown and 512 MB of free disk space is available, then type ‘L’ for large database. 3. Data File Name - It is customary and recommended to use the same directory where other data files exist. Type in the directory where the data-files are currently stored. Recommended file name is CLINICA01.dbf (Any valid name can be used for the file). If more space is required in future, another file can be added as CLINICA02.dbf, and so on. Figure  SEQ Figure \* ARABIC 26 (please note, figures are approximate) The screen dump is captured in the file spool_oracle_setup_db.txt in the same directory for verification. After pressing the ENTER key, the script will create the file in the directory where all system related data files exist. After the tablespace is created the setup script calls the user creation script. Provide the tablespace name that was created. Tablespace Name – Tablespace created in the Tablespace section. To create the user CLINICA, specify the tablespace name where all the data will be stored. CLI
