Developing Junior High School Students Interest in Learning English Abstract Nowadays, with the development of the information technology in social life and the globalization of economy, English, as one of the most important information carriers, has become the most widely used language in each field in the society. It becomes necessary for the students to learn English well. And the key whether students could learn English well lies in whether they are interested in English. In junior high school, English has become a main subject as Chinese and Mathematics. It is an important stage in cultivating students interest in English learning. So, how to develop junior high school students interest in English learning becomes a focus of English teachers. The paper, based on the explanation of interest in psychology, through analyzing the present situation of junior high school students English learning and some characteristics of the junior high school students and their interest, raises some strategies for the English teachers to stimulate and arouse the junior high school students interest in English learning.
