The quality properties and grades of leading strip products and their present situations in the mar- ket are introduced. The development trend of the strips in the future and concerned key technolo- gies are discussed. Finally it is proposed that some problems relating to technologies on how to manufacture such products which are demanded largely in the market and in the wide range of grades in a low cost and stable way and concerned management problems should be solved first while the technology system for developing new strip products with low cost and high efficiency should be established so as to flexibly respond to changeable markets. Key words ： hot rolled strip; cold rolled strip; coated strip; production with low cost “十一五”期间，我国钢材品种结构得到较大 幅度的优化调整，钢材质量性能得到明显改进，彻 底 改 变 了 过 去 扁 平 材 品 种 和 数 量 供 应 不 足 的 状 况。 在统计的 2010 年的 22 大类钢材品种中， 17 类品种自给率达到 100％ ； 有 18 类品种国内市场 占有率 ≥95％ ，其他品种也达到 85％ 以上。 其中热 轧、冷轧板带及涂镀层产品生产发展迅速，在数量 和质量上均有较大增长。 在热轧宽带钢生产线上开发生产出系列高级 别管线钢、高强耐候钢及高强工程机械用钢等，在 大型油气管线工程建设、汽车、集装箱、火车车厢 及工程机械轻量化制造及生产应用
