Module5 Unit4 Making the news 课题 Unit4 Making the news Warming up reading 课时安排 1 三维 目标 知识与技能: 1) Enable the students to talk about qualities needed to be a good reporter and how to conduct a good interview 2) Enable the students to learn some useful new words and expressions in this part such as , occupation, do research, on one’s own, cover, concentrate on, acquire, accuse…of, so as to, scoop eager, inform, submit, skeptical and so on. 过程与方法: To Train the students’ reading ability(skimming, detail reading), listening and speaking abilities through finishing some tasks. 情感、态度与价值观 1) To arouse Ss’ interest in learning about how to make the news 2. To develop students’ sense of cooperative learning. 教材 分析 This lesson mainly introduces students to the media and how news is collected which includes warming up and reading. The reading deals with the first day at work of a new reporter called Zhou Yang. It shows us the skills necessary to become a good journalist and how to conduct a good interview. 学情 分析 The students are interested in the media and some of them want to become a reporter, but maybe they are not quite familiar with the reporters’ job, especially the requirements of interview and the process of collecting news. 教学 重点 1) Help the students learn about the qualities needed to be a good reporter, how to get an accurate story and how to protect a story form accusation. 2) Have the Ss learn different reading skills. 教学 难点 1) Develop the Ss reading ability 2.
