For laying pipe in extreme deep water, the J-Lay tower, positioned at SB side of the vessel can be used and can lay pipe from 4 ″to 24 ″ in waterdepths upto 3000 m. A 3 section stinger of 92.5 m length (see above) can create a pipe radius from 70 to 300 m. The 5000 tons Offshore Mast Crane at the stern has two main blocks of 2500 mtons and can lift 5000 mtons at 34 m radius. With a footprint of only 16.8×16.8 m and a total weight of 4100 mtons and positioned at the far end of the vessel, it offers a very effective net outreach. In addition there is a heave compensated hookblock, which depending on its reeving offers lifting capacities of 1200 mtons (4 falls: 1500 m waterdepth), 600 mtons (2 falls: 3000 m waterdepth) and in single fall mode 300 mtons that can go down to 6000 m!! There is also a 110 tons whiphoist. The crane was built at the Fujian Huisman Steel Manufacturing Company, a new expansion of the Huisman manufacturing facilities since 2007.
