The primary reason is that I am currently studying a Master’s degree in computer science, I find the area speech recognition quite fascinating. It’s a practical area that’s certainly worth studying. I would like to explore more, and see if I can become an expert in the area. Besides, a PhD degree is a valuable asset, and is like a stepping stone to universities, research institutes, and the world’s leading corporations, such as Apple, Google, and MS. The degree will give me an edge in this highly competitive job market. ?? As for how I would carry out the plan, well, for starters, I will certainly need to do extensive reading. I am sure you are familiar with the British expression – read for a degree. That literally means reading is essential, especially when it comes to research based degrees. So in the meantime, I will try and read as much as possible on computer science, engineering and maybe linguistics as well. ?? In addition to that, I believe communication is essential in the process of delivering the plan. By communication, I mean that with academics and fellow students. The best way to f
