Many new houses sprung up in the countrysides. In the driven of the trend of urbanization, the areas near the urban and backbone are gathering towards them, while the areas far from the urban and backbone are keeping an original state. However, a trend of expanding outside is occuring in those areas that are far from the urban. We call it “centrifugation”. Centrifugation is a normal phenomenon in the countrysides with the rapid growth in population. But if we dont realize this phenomenon and treat it in right way, it will finally lead to spatial structure of rural settlements disorder and lead to another phenomenon called “hollowzation”, which will has a serious waste on land resources and has an effect on public product supply in the countrysides. In this paper, we take the remote countryside in Xuwen as an example,and going to have a research about the settlement geography space,the villagers and the staff in Land and Resources Bureau through the methods of using document literature, field survey and questionnaire survey and so on.Through this we can find out the problem and the driving factor between the changing of settlement space structure and the centrifugation phenomenon in the remote countrysides, then put forward a countermeasure under the public management. The remote countrysides in the west of Guangdong province are ignored by the government and the society no matter in literature research or in political policy. In this paper, we are mainly have a research about the settlement space structure in the remote countrysides.
