Life In the early 1940s, Faulkner came to Hollywood invited by Howard Hawks Raymond Chandlers ,The Big Sleep and Ernest Hemingways To Have and Have Not. Life On December 10, 1950, Faulkner was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature for the year 1949.
