First of all, on behalf of East China University of Political Science and Law, I would like to extend my warm welcome to all of you who have come all the way here from Yale Law School. As is known to all, Yale is a well-known university around the world, and Yale Law School is the leading law school in the United States enjoying the high reputation. Today, five doctor candidates from Yale Law School come here and will soon have an academic exchange with us, which is really meaningful to our university. East China University of Political Science and Law, which was previously known as East China College of Political Science and Law, was founded in 1952 and had only law-related majors at the beginning. This year, having been renamed as “East China University of Political Science and Law”, the college is now being developed into a university with various majors among which law is a dominant one.
