This is the first period of this unit.In this unit, the emphasis will be put on the talking and discussion on the ancient and morden Olympic Games.
II 学情分析 Analysis of sdudying.
Through the learning of this lesson, students will have learnt a lot on the Ancient and Morden Oliympic Games..Inorder to make students be intrested in the Olympic, teacher should let them have discussion and show some pictures to them. That can better lead them into this unit.

When and where will the next Olympic Games be held?
I’ve come to your time…that in 2004 they were held in my hometown.
I lived in what you call “Ancient Greece”.
3)Let students learn the basic knowledge on the Olympic Games

Enable students to compete the ancient Olimpics with the modern ones and answer the questions quickly and correctly so as to learn how to generslize and compare similarities and differences. Skills:1)skimming to get the general ideas of the text 2)Scanning to get the detailed information get to understand the passage better.3) Task-baesd methods to get students to comprehend the passage and be able to produce dialogues.
