The buyer sends out an inquiry to invite a quotation or an offer for the goods he wishes to buy( specific inquiry ) or simply asking for some general information (general inquiry). In both case, the inquiry should be brief, specific, reasonable and to the point. Steps of Writing Step1: Introduce statement of the resources of information or previous letter, etc. If you are making a first enquiry, a brief self-introduction is necessary all the time.
