Good morning, class. Today we shall “Save our world”. But first let’s save our school. Let’s save our city. Why? Because the classroom is dirty. Because the city is polluted. Because the water is running out.
What other environmental problems do we have? ? Could you point out any more of them? What can we do to save our school? What can we do to save our city? What can we do to save our world?
■Listen and read.
On page 42 is a conversation among Lingling, Betty, Daming and Tony. They are talking about environmental problems.
Before we listen to and read loud it, let’s go on to read it first. While reading, try to: cut/ the sentence into thought groups, study the predicative, darken the connectives and underline all the useful expressions.
Useful expressions ?
