学生作文示例 Task A-2 : A new flavor to our life （1） 05级 Andrew Stories of the Telephone When we didn’t have a telephone When I was a little girl, we didn’t have a telephone. But my neighbour did. The ting of the telephone hit on my heart every time it rang. How I expected that I could talk with someone through the telephone! One day, when I was drawing, my neighbour’s telephone rang. Then, I heard my neighbour call my mother. I replied,“She’s out. What’s up?” “Would you come and receive a call of you?” She said. I was as happy as a butterfly at that moment! My dream became true! Great! I ran out of my house without closing the door, rushed at the telephone. It just like a box with many buttons on it and there was a handle. My neighbour told me to pick up the handle and then I could listen and talk. I followed her instruction. But I heard nothing. My neighbour burst into laughter, for I made it up-side down! My face turned red immediately. I was so shy that I made such a big mistake! When the telephone came to us I remember that it was in my grade two in primary school. One day after school, my sister and I went home normally. We didn’t know something surprising would happen to us. When we were having supper, suddenly a telephone rang. We thought it was from my neighbour’s. But the ting was different and it sounds very loud. “Is it in our house?” My young sister asked. “But we don’t have a telephone!” I replied. “But, listen, it is from the living room,” she insisted. We went to the living room to find the source of the ting with uncertainty. The ting pervaded the air and made us excited and nervous. Finally , my sister screamed,“Look!
