INTRODUCTIONIntroducing the new TOMCO Oxygen Sensor Catalog. This edition extends our coverage on existingapplications to 2003 model year in some cases.We have changed the format of the Catalog to make it easier to use. Each Manufacturer is broken out byModel. The Models are arranged in alphabetical order. The Models are then broken down into cylinder size (3,4,5,6,8,10,12). Each Cylinder section is broken down into Engine size, Post Cat., Pre Cat.,then by year.Since the advent of OBD II, as you know, many vehicles have multiple sensors, before and after theCatalytic Converter. So what we have done is broken down each Engine size into:1st highest year to lowest year Post Cat Sensors2nd highest year to lowest year Precat SensorsYou will note that from Manufacturer to Manufacturer different terminology is used for each position.We have attempted to keep the terminology the same, but with some additions. So for example Ford would callthe Post Cat sensor a “Cat Monitor”, we called it a Post Cat . Also some Manufacturers say “Front” or “Rear”others may say “Left” or “Right”. We would say Precat Front or Rear or Precat Left or Right.Where it lists 2 required, it means that both the Precats or the Post Cats are the same sensor and itrequires 2 for a complete replacement.GM in some cases has a sensor in the three different positions. We list these as follows:GM TERM TOMCO TERMPosition 1 at manifold Precat at manifoldPosition 2 at converter Precat in pipe before catPosition 2 after cat Post CatPosition 3 Post CatIn some cases the Manufacturer does not list the positions, just OE numbers. In these instances it is hardfor us to determine which OE number goes in which spot. Therefore there will be no designation in our catalog forthat part, just a listing of the OE number and the Tomco number.As you can see there are a lot of variables here. So this is also a work in process. We will be makingupdates to this catalog as more accuarate or updated information is obtained.We hope t
