Due to the lack of research of omitting longitudinal rebar in FRP confined reinforcement concrete column, this research presents uniaxial compression test results of 18 concrete columns confined by both outer CFRP tube and inner TSR, which is termed as CFRP-TSR-confined concrete. Two key experimental parameters were investigated, including the thickness of CFRP tube (0.167mm, 0.334mm and 0.501mm) and the spacing of TSR (25mm and 50mm). The Failure mode, axial and transverse stress-strain relationship, confinement effectiveness, Poisson’s ratio, energy dissipation capacity, column ductility, dilation performance of specimens were discussed. The test results show that the ultimate strength of concrete would have a linear proportional enhancement by increasing the number of FRP layer in each TSR category. The stress-strain curves of CFRP-TSR-confined concrete initially exhibited a bi-linear manner. The concrete core was well-preserved after the rupture of the CFRP tube in a brittle failure mode. Then successive compression test of the TSR concrete core was conducted.
