A very brief introduction to the proposed research topic. Major theory/ theories to be applied in this study and key concepts Focus of the study/ thesis statement. The purpose and the significance of the study. Problems you are to solve and possible solutions. Part Two: Literature Review Indicate what has been done before and their relevance to this study. This part should help demonstrate: (1) that you are familiar with the research that has so far been done in this area; (2) that you have found a gap or “lacunae” in the literature…something that has not been well researched (or not been researched from a certain theoretical perspective or with a particular methodological design). Part Three: Chapter Outline An outline is a useful framework that assists in the organization and writing of the thesis. Preparing an outline may help you reevaluate the materials and decide which pieces of information are relevant to the thesis statement and discover the connections between the pieces. There are different types of outlines. You are advised to use a topic outline in which every heading is a noun phrase,
