Probe into the pathogenesis of tumor --A cytodifferention blockade theory Yang Yong-ming, Cao Yun, (Guided by the teacher yang Fu-hao ) Shanxi Tumor Hospital , Taiyuan Abstract: When a carcinogen hit the stem cells just in their differentiation, the stem cells stop differentiation; but their reproduction by division remains in progress; this phenomenon is called cytodifferentiation blockade. This theory holds that tumors arre a disease of cell differentiation, and a result from the blockade of the differentiation of stem cells in mature organism s specialized tissue during their renewal or when they repair the impaired parts of the tissne. The author uses the theory to clarify whether tumors fall into two categories, benign and malignant; whether leukemia has various types. Non,tumor runs wild in the world, the key problem is being ignorant of of its pathogenesis. Therefore, to charifv its pathogenesis is to find out the truth, this is the key link to radical cure of tumor. It may be foretold that the day the mystery of tumor pathogenesis is revealed will be the time the tumor be radically cured. The author thinks that tumor is a disease of cell differentiation, which is also a result from the blockade of differentiation of stem cells in the mature organism’s specialized tissue during their renwal or when they repair the impaired parts of the tissue; i.e., when stemcells just in their renewal or repair processes were hit by any carcinogens, if their differentiation route was blocked while their proliferation capacity remained, thus these ceells for renewal or repair got more and more increase in number, resulting in ceell stacking and forming tumors.
