Notes on Completion of Nomination Form for an Election Committee subsector or sub-subsector (Election of a Member of the Election Committee) 1. A separate nomination form must be used for each candidate. 2. A nomination form should be subscribed by at least 5 voters. All the subscribing voters must be registered for the subsector/sub-subsector concerned. A candidate is advised to include more than the minimum required number of subscribers in his nomination form to avoid the risk of invalidation of the nomination should one or more of the subscribers be subsequently found not to be voters for the Election Committee subsector/sub-subsector concerned. 3. A subsector/sub-subsector voter is entitled to subscribe any number of candidates up to the prescribed number of members representing the subsector/sub-subsector on the Election Committee. The names of the subsectors/sub-subsectors as well as the prescribed number of members to be returned by each of the subsectors/sub-subsectors can be found in paragraph 16 below. In the case of a corporate voter, the responsible person authorized by the corporate voter to subscribe a nomination form should put down the name of the corporate voter, his name, HKIC number and residential address in Section 2 of Part I of the nomination form and sign thereon. 4. For publication in the Government Gazette, please provide the name and principal residential address of the candidate in both Chinese and English. 5. If a candidate wishes, he can state on the nomination form his political affiliation which may be published. 6. A nomination form should be handed in by the candidate in person (except where the Chief Electoral Officer, on application, allows another means of delivery) and received by the Returning Officer within the nomination period from 13.3.98 to 20.3.98 during office hours (Monday to Friday: from 9 am to 5 pm; Saturday: from 9:00 am to noon) on any day other than a general holiday.
