Automatic transmission detection diagnosis is composed with detection of equipment diagnosis and the diagnosis method. In order to solve the problem as much as possible in the process of detection and diagnosis, we should have adequate knowledge of the automatic transmission. And the main topic is the main methods and equipment of describing a typical automatic transmission, this subject should has important practical significance. Firstly, the paper introduces the principles and classifications of common automobile automatic transmission. Then analysis the structure and characteristics of the common transmission.
