As the assembly of the vehicle, axle link suspension with body or frame, it bears not only the weight of the vehicle but also the load and torque from wheel, body. Axle normally consists of final drive, differential, half-shaft and steering knuckle. At the same time, it can realize the functions at the same time that is wheel turning and driving. This graduate design’s target is to design the SUES-06 steering drive axle with CAD technology. According to the task book, the article firstly introduce the axle, include consists and functions, and then it introduces some structure of steering drive axle of some automobile. Refer to BJ2020 Jeep steering drive axle to design the SUES-06 steering drive axle. And explain the important parament. And then it introduces UG and using it to establish the modeling of SUES-06s steering drive axle, later using the assemble function to do the virtual assembling. At last using the finite element method function to do the analysis of the important parts of steering drive axle and make the conclusion. Upon the traditional design and calculator, the article use UG to make a model and assemble the steering drive axle, and analysis the key part. The result shows that the steering drive axle designed by us fit the requirement, and can realize the function of driving. At the same time ,CAD design can reduce the cost of design, promote the work efficient.
