In contrast to link admission control (LAC), they limit the trafﬁc within a network by distributed protocols. We introduce four basic budget based NAC approaches such that most resource management schemes can be classiﬁed by them from a perfor- mance point of view. Since they have different complexity and efﬁciency, we compare their resource utilization in different networking scenarios. Our results sh
