Learn the words of food. Greeting
Talk about Ss’ favorite food.
Game: Word-Categorize Competition (IWB)
Divide Ss into 2 groups.
Make a competition.
Play 3 rounds with 3 topic words: Fruit, Drinks, and vegetable.
Each time a S from group 1 say a word about the topic in 10 seconds, then the other S from group 2 say another word. When time is up, the group that say 1 more word will be the winner. Good morning everyone, welcome back to New Key class. Nice to see you again.
What’s your favorite food?
Now let’s do a competition together. Let’s divide into two groups. Each group says a word about “fruit”/ “drinks”/ “vegetable”.
The group that can say more words out will be the winner. Whole Class, group work IWB Lead in
5 mins Learn the favorite food expression. Ask and Answer (IWB)
Use the words Ss said at last part to make the dialogue.
Give Ss an example. T and a high-level S read the dialogue on the board to Ss. Here is an example:
T: What’s your favorite fruit?
S: Apples. They are sweet and crispy. What about you?
T: I like cherries. They are very delicious.
Let Ss make their own dialogue in pairs.
Show the dialogue in turn. Look at the board. Let’s make a dialogue in pairs.
