In this paper, according to the vehicles arrival processes, we consider the case that the vehicles’ arrival rates vary according to the signal phases: green and red ones. All vehicles pass through the intersection according to FIFO principle. Based on the analysis, we derive the distribution of the steady-state vehicle queue length, the distribution of queue length at the departure point, the waiting time of vehicles in the queue during the red period, the probability of j vehicles were waiting in minor stream during red period, the queue length of vehicles at the end of red period in minor stream and the distribution of red period.
