Objective To i vestigate expressio of thyrotropi receptor ( TSHr) i orbital adipocyte of Graves∀ ophthalmopathy ( GO) . Methods Orbital adipose tissues specime s were obtai ed i the course of orbital becompressio surgery for severe GO ( = 8) . Normal orbital adipose tissues specime s w ere collected at e ucleatio of eyebell with other eye disease ( = 8) w ith o history of thyroid disease. Adipocytes were obtai ed from the orbital tissue specime s by digesti g a d ce trifugatio . Adipocytes were stored froze at - 70 # u t il processi g for RNA isolatio . The expressio of TSHr i orbital adipocyte was detected with RT- PCR. Res lts The expressio of TSHr i orbital adipocyte w as upregulated i GO cases compared to co trols, there was sig ifica t differe ces i tw o groups ( P = 0001) . Concl sions TSHr might be the au toa tige that was shared betw ee t he thyroid gla d a d the orbital. Key words!
