On the requirements of vehicles used in Olympic gymnasium, several mathematic models were made by analyzing the principles of all the subsystems of Hybrid Electric Vehicle, and then on this basis, the models were made by using MATLAB/Simulink. The simulation analyzed two types of working conditions in which the vehicle was driven by electric power and hybrid power. The results show that the parameters and the control strategies are reasonable which can meet the requirements of vehicles used in Olympic gymnasium. Theoretic support and technical foundation for designing the vehicles used in Olympic gymnasium were proposed. Key words: modeling; simulation; hybrid electric vehicle; Olympic gymnasium 1
