However, the complexity of soil structur l inter ction system m kes th t the soc lled time history method is h rd to be used in pr ctic l engineering n lysis. A pushover n lysis ppro ch for n lysis of SSI system is put forw rd b sed on the c p city spectrum method. An equiv lent SDOF system is investig ted on the b sis of the cl ssic l model of SSI system, nd then pushover procedure is proposed b sed on this equiv lent SDOF system with the modified response spectrum nd equiv lent c p city spectrum. With this pushover n lysis method, the control benchm rk 3story steel building w s n lyzed, nd the result w s comp red with the result of time history method. It shows th t this pushover procedure c n be used to ev lu te the seismic response of SSI system successfully .
