Methods We analysed retrospectively the clinical data of 110 elder primiparas and compared them with the same number of younger counterparts from our hospital during 2000,1-2007,6. Results The incidences of pregnancy coexisted disease , complication of delivery of elder primiparas were higher than those of the control group; the rate of uterine-incision delivery was much higher. Conclusion The incidences of pregnancy coexisted disease, complication of delivery of elder primiparas were higher. Enhancement of perilabor monitoring, correct handling of delivery are very important to improve the prognosis of elder primiparas.
