A bs tract: The foundation of trust- credit is an absolute confidence on the part of the client in the trustee. The abnorm al operations of trust companies in
China have seriously injured the broad m asses of investors and reduced the confidence of the latter in them. It is, therefore, a realistic cho ice for the trust
companies to rely on cooperationw ith the banks to enhance their exterior reputation. How ever, the recent exposure of Jin- X inA ffair brought a crisis
to such a cooperation. So, how to create a lasting and effectivem echanism of cooperation betw een trust companies and banks and choose a properm odel
w ithin the currently ex isting financia l fram ework is a pressing m atter of the m om ent.
