Results show that the adsorpt ion and desorption of diese l in seaw ater on spillsorb fits the secondo rder reaction m odel, and the equ ilibr ium period of adsorption and desorpt ion is 10 ~ 20 m in and 2~ 3 h, respective ly, and the latter is longer than form er up to 9 t mi es. T he equ ilibrium adsorption and desorption capacity were 669 g / g and 0325 g / g respective ly, and the rate of desorption is 486% . The ad sorpt ion capacity increases w ith the increm ent o f sa lin ity and pH o f seaw ater, and decreases w hen the env iron m ental temperature rises. The adsorption isotherm s can be described as F reund lich s and BET equation, and the adsorption of diese l on sp illsorb belongs to physica l adso rpt ion according to adsorption therm odynam ics study, and the adsorption hea t in the process w as about - 1256 kJ/m o l.
