Ou r study wa s to investigate the influence of baicalein, a 12LOX selective inhib itor, on corneal neovascu larization (CNV ) of rabb it. 　M ethod s　 A n im al model of CNV wa s induced by corneal pocket a ssay in 15 rabb its, and the slowreleasing tab le contain ing 500 ng of bFGF μ wa s p ut in to pocket to stim u late CNV. PB S drop sw ith 30 mo l/L of baicalein was top ically adm in istrated 4 tim e s daily for 10 days in the right eye s of rabb its a s the exp erim en t group , and PB S drop s w ithou t baicalein wa s u sed at the sam e way in the left eyes a s control group after p lace of bFGF. Ink was pou red into heart of model to disp lay the CNV 10 days after modeling, and then p icture s scann ing software wa s u sed to analyze the CNV area. The h istop athologic exam ination wa s p erform ed follow ing the ink dyeing. 　 Results　The CNV area wa s ( 1 6 14 67 ±182 3 1) p ictu re elem ent in the righ t eyes of rabb its and ( 12 10240 ±284 97 ) p ictu re elem en t
