Course: Selected Topics: Government and politics in Russia I 課程名稱 Title of the course Selected Topics: Government and politics in Russia 授課教師Instructor Wang Dingshu (王定士) 開課系所 Graduate Institute of Russian Studies 任別職稱 Full Time professor 課程目標Goal of the course This course is aimed at teaching graduate students through reading and discussing assigned materials so that they will grasp the dynamics that drive the current political development in Russia. The assigned readings will cover concerned issues during both the Soviet and the post-Soviet periods. Students participating will also be taught the methodology and methods for researching topics in this field. Class Scheduling Lecturing on one of the topics listed each week. Teaching Approach The discussions will be based on oral presentation by participating graduate students. The multimedia will be used during discussions. Students are encouraged to exchange discussions on the E-Learning website, on which topics will be given for discussion based on each week’s topic listed above. Requriremnts Evaluation 1. Participation and interaction 50%. 2. Oral presentation: 50%. 3.
