SCATS = Sydney Coordinated Adaptive Traffic System Originated in Sydney, Australia Used in Europe, Australia, Hong Kong and some areas in the US (Oakland County, Michigan) How does SCATS work? SCATS gathers data on traffic flows in real-time at each intersection. Data is fed via the traffic controller to a central computer.
