Abstract: Chem ical composit ion analysis, m icrostr uctur e ex am ination and fracture analy sis w ere conducted to clarify
r easo ns f or crack of stainless steel. T he result s sho w th at t he crack of stainless t ube is cau sed by the str ess cor ro-
sion at the tensio n st ress side of the tube, w hich r esult ed fro m accumulation of Cl o n surf ace of the tube.
