Chinese Rock is described as an anti-traditional weapon of rebelling main ideolodies, commercial organizational system and culture hegemonies. People who are fond of rock and roll music are unlikely the general idolaters, but seek to use music to express their lives and thoughts. Chinese Rock began in 1986, when the Northwest Style started to migrate into youth culture. The earliest rock and roll song in China is probably “Nothing”, written by Cui Jian, the “father” of Chinese rock music, who is strongly respected by everybody. With the emergence of Fuzhou rock, Fuzhou music lovers have been impacted powerfully unprecedented. Also it gives Chinese Rock a valuable asset. Fuzhou rock now boasts a batch of excellent professional bands, and kinds of universities also have their own rock bands. A t the same time, some popular rock BBS have come forth.
