W ith the expansion of the autom ation platform activities in the coal m ine, the w ireless + w ideband technology has becam e on e of the developm ent tendency. The paper mainly discussed the three w ireless comm un ication technologies possible to be app lied to the coal m ine and they w ere W IFI, W IMAX and M cW ill under the fram ework ofM esh. A detail discussion was conducted from the techn ical agreem ent support, coverage scope, antenna technology, auto adaptive adjustments and others to the three technologies. Those technologies could provide the techn ical support to the applications of the technologies to the w ireless d ispatching, w ideband video, data transm ission and other automation technologies to the coal enterprises.
