This standard revises the International Standard in the following aspects: — Steel and Steel Products - Location and Preparation of Test Pieces for Mechanical Testing (GB/T 2975), Rules for Rounding Off of Numerical Values (GB/T 8170) and Verification Regulation of Pendulum Impact Testing Machines (JJG 145) are added in Normative References; ISO 286-1 standard is removed; — U-notch test piece with depth of 2 mm is added in 6.2, and U-notch test pieces with width of 7.5 mm and 5 mm are added in Table 2; — JJG 145 standard is added in 7.2; — The contents “The misclosure of round or empty consumption occurs when the pendulum air shots shall be checked before testing” and “The span of anvil which shall be kept with 40+0.2mm shall be checked before testing” are added in 8.1. — The content “When cooling the test piece using gaseous medium, distance of test piece from the inner surface of the low-temperature device and distance between test pieces shall be kept, and the test piece shall be maintained for at least 20 min under the specified temperature” is added in 8.2.2. — The lower limit of testing machine capacity is added in 8.4; — The content “The absorbed energy can not be determined because of the insufficient striking energy of testing machine and the incomplete fracture of the test pie
