China University of Petroleum, Beijing 102200 Abstract: Based on electrochemical theory and with help of software the relationship between the adsorption parameter β = 1 − 10−S of diﬀerential polarization curves and the inhibitor cover ratio (γ ) of has been established. It indicated that β was a state parameter of the inhibitor adsorption. And through experiments for steels with inhibitors of Mannich and CTAB, the relationship has been veriﬁed.
