Referring to the thermal calculation standard method of boiler, the utilization factors of the tw o kinds of platen superheaters w ere modified. Results show that the furnace flame radiation and uneven sw eep of the flue gases to the pipes result in nonuniform heat transfer of platen superheater w alls. The boiler load variation has great effect on the utilization factor of the platen superheaters, and the utilization factors of the tw o kinds of the platen superheaters increase w ith raising the boiler load under five different loads.
